WATCH: Fan hurls beer at journalist reporting on SWC semi-final

Cape Town - A shocking video has emerged of a fan hurling his beer at a reporter live on TV during a World Cup semi-final between England and Croatia.

Croatia qualified for the World Cup final for the first time in its history after an absorbing come-from-behind 2-1 win over England thanks to a Mario Mandzukic extra-time winner.

In a shocking video with the clock running out for Gareth Southgate's side a belligerent fan in South London threw his beer in the face of reporter Lloyd Burr - who bravely continued to broadcast.

Despite the incident caused by the fan - who Burr called a 'drunken Aussie' - he described the atmosphere as epic.
