PICTURES: Will Smith, Ronaldinho all involved in SWC closing ceremony

Cape Town - Ahead of the Soccer World Cup final kick-off between France and Croatia, a star-studded closing ceremony took place featuring Will Smith, Philipp Lahm and legendary Brazil forward Ronaldinho.

As it happened: France 4-2 Croatia

Smith, along with Nicky Jam and Era Istrefi, performed the official World Cup song 'Live it Up' in front on a 78 000-strong crowd at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow.

Ronaldinho with his wide smile, as many often remember him by, was included in the performances by hitting a drum.

The colourful production was followed by former Germany World Cup winning captain Lahm, accompanied by Russian supermodel Natalia Vodianova, bringing out the 18-carat gold trophy.

France were eventually crowned champions after thumping Croatia 4-2 courtesy of goals from Paul Pogba, Antoinne Griezmann and Kylian Mbappe.
