Johannesburg - The United States squad has arrived in Johannesburg following a 17-hour flight to the World Cup.
After leading his team off the plane at the O.R. Tambo airport, coach Bob Bradley immediately picked out the team's opening game against England as a chance to make an impression on the tournament.
Bradley said "there has been a lot of attention on our first game with England," and called the June 12 matchup "a great opportunity for us."
Like the other teams who have arrived in South Africa, the Americans were greeted by armed task force members who surrounded the plane on the tarmac in a display of heavy security at the airport.
