What a thriller lets go for Shabba's goal ke ntho tse monate.

@ Umm no. Hope the toilet paper is cheap !! d00s ! Van Bronks hit the upright. Tshaba's was cm perfect. VB was unmarked and was from stand still. Tshaba's was on the run, with defender on him and goalie in line. go and check out Maicons reaction. For that second he was gobsmacked that it went it. You obviously dont watch much football. Did you even watch the match. DPR became one of my fav team in how they locked down the mighty Brazil until around 66min. Given other factors that it was the opening match, SA where given nil chance by the sooth sayers, it was a great goal not to mention the support and unity generated by that striker not just for SA but for Saffers supporting the SWC more. Goal of the tourno by a long mile. Happy defacating you moron

@tseliso its the second goal that tevez scored and not the 1st goal that was scored by him which is in the running
Demz7/14/2010 4:11 PM
Guyz let support Tshabalala.

umm i think everyone is mixing up shabalala's goal for emotional african feeling rather than judging it by how great the actual goal is, since that goal was by no means a top 10 goal, i was good, dont get me wrong but come on now, we can all agree, were going a bit overboard on this goal, just because its african, and its the first of the world cup, top goals defo van bronckhorst, forlan and suarez, then also maicon, and maicon's goal shouldnt be considered luck since, if a person shoots at goal and it is, then he wanted it to go in, so when u have 1/100 chance to get a goal and manage, it cant be considered luck, since he actually aimed for a spectacular goal, i will shat my pants 5 times if shabalala's goal is in the top 5. it was just a basic through ball and shot across the goaly, could just as well have struck the post, just like maicon's could have. my fav goal is still the ghana goal against uruguay. if u wanna be unfair and just vote for african goals and not for how good the actual goal was, like what most of south africans are doing..idiots, then i suggest at least voting for the ghana goal, cause that was a reply i like to see 20 times a day ;)

firstly to tseliso they are refering to is screamer from out the box. this list is not accurate by a long shot. two of david villa goals are not in this list. is goal in spains second game we he beat to players and curled past the keeper and the one he scored from almost the half way line. from the list that fifa as put out diego forlans goal in the 3rd/4th place playoff really stands out for me and realisticly should win.

Mzanzi Let us support Tshabalala
MR677/14/2010 2:29 PM
I don't think it was the best goal, but hell, it was definitely the best goal celebration by a country mile! :-D
jay7/14/2010 1:47 PM
Tshabalala's goal was great. Its between that one and the one Van Bronkhorst of Holland - that one was also truly amazing and i saw it live. they seemed similar from memory, i must look again.
Tlou7/14/2010 1:42 PM
Yes, go for it you deserve it. yes you achieved less as a psl player.
What7/14/2010 1:40 PM
Surprised Maicon's goal didn't make it! Probably considered a fluke
Beaver7/14/2010 1:35 PM
Some odd choices there. What about: 1. Maicon's screamer against the Korea DPR 2. Donovan's tight-angled goal against Algeria 3. Forlan's goal against Bafana (which left Khune rooted) 4. Asamoah Gyan's goal in extra time against the US
Musiwalo7/14/2010 1:35 PM
Shine africa Shine. Tshabalala made us proud. Lets support him to win the award.
Rodney7/14/2010 1:35 PM
We back you Simphiwe, u really made us proud by scoring a wonder and thunderouse goal.
Moz7/14/2010 1:33 PM
What a joke how can they leave out Maicons goal against Korea probably one of the most amazing goals in the history of football. As usual just partisan support for our striker was good but Tevez, Van Bronckhorst and Forlans goals all better by miles.
Sech4more7/14/2010 1:26 PM
In my opinion Suarez's goal is the best but because of what he did to Ghana, i will rather vote for other goals. Well done to Siphiwe!!!!
Kedibone7/14/2010 1:18 PM
What a goal shine Simphiwe, you deserve that award
Joe7/14/2010 1:16 PM
Tshabala's goal will never be forgotten in in history as it was the first wc goal to be scored on african soil. therefore he should win it for Africa
Tim7/14/2010 1:16 PM
Where the hell is Asamoah Gyan's goal for Ghana v USA? That was the goal of the year, let alone the WC. FIFA suck!!!
apv7/14/2010 1:15 PM
What about the Brazil goal vs Korea???!!!!! Was it too early in the tournament for people to remember. that was an amazing goal!
tseliso7/14/2010 1:08 PM
how could the Tevez (Argentina vs Mexico) goal be in the running for goal of the tornament since it was a clear off-side that the refs missed?
Thabo7/14/2010 12:57 PM
Sadly he wont win it, given the beauty of other goals, esp. the one by . Giovanni van Bronckhorst (Holland)
Mashudu7/14/2010 12:56 PM
South Africa let us vote for Tshabalala
james7/14/2010 12:53 PM
Good luck to him. He achieved little else as a South African player.
ODGAR MASHELE7/14/2010 12:52 PM
siphiwe deserve the award the goal was fantatized
