Johannesburg - Siphiwe Tshabalala has labelled the goal he scored against Mexico, which was the first at the 2010 Soccer World Cup, as the best and most important strike of his career.
The Bafana Bafana winger is known to score some spectacular efforts, especially from dead-ball situations, but his treat against El Tri was what Steven Gerrard likes to call a "worldly" goal - something that is, quite simply, out of this world.
The left-footed rocket further endeared 'Shabba' to his South African followers and made the international audience take note of the Kaizer Chiefs ace.
There has already been a number of calls from major European clubs tracking Tshabalala's progress to Prof'sionalz Marketing and Management, the company that deals with the player's interest.
And if the 25-year-old continues to produce such magic in front of the posts, more offers are bound to flood in.
"The greatest goal and game of my career," he said of his 55th-minute strike, which he bagged on his 50th cap.
"My confidence is at an all time high. I had only one thought in my head when I had a sight of the Mexican goal and that was to score.
"What a great feeling it was when the ball hit the back of the net. The cherry on top for me was the goal was scored in the first World Cup match in South Africa at the new Soccer City stadium and on my 50th cap -- brilliant."
Shabba turned his attention to the clash with Uruguay on Wednesday night and revealed Bafana will be in a confident mood. "We won't change anything about our plans. It's all about hard work and confidence and self belief.
"It's very possible to qualify. We showed that with hard work and determination, we can score goals. Hopefully we'll be more relaxed in the next match," he concluded.
