Johannesburg - SAFA CEO Leslie Sedibe has rubbished reports claiming that Bafana Bafana will play their friendly against Guatemala at the Cape Town Stadium.

As it turns out the encounter on May 31 will take place at the Peter Mokaba stadium in Limpopo. "I have to deal with the issue of Guatemala. The match will be played in Polokwane," Sedibe confirmed to the media this morning at the team's camp in Sandton.

"Let's deal with the issue of Cape Town. We have never made an announcement that the match will be played in Cape Town. I think people need to be careful.

"Until SAFA has concluded agreements and until SAFA has issued an official notice we cannot be held responsible for people who make irresponsible statements for whatever reason.

"We have never announced that the game will be played in Cape Town," Sedibe insisted.

"We are now officially announcing that tickets are on sale for the friendly against Guatemala and that match will be played in Polokwane, in Limpopo and we are confident that the people of Limpopo will attend the match."
