1) USA midfielder Maurice Edu scores a "goal" during the Group C match against Slovenia at Ellis Park. The goal was ruled out for interference from a USA player on a Slovenia player, when in fact it was the Slovenian player who was impeding the American. Referee Koman Coulibaly's blunder of disallowing Edu's goal meant he was the first referee to be sent packing on a plane back home (AFP).
