Cape Town - Brazil’s World Cup-winning manager Carlos Alberto Parreira, who has agreed to return to manage South Africa at the World Cup in 2010, has been announced as a speaker at the 2009 Soccerex convention.According to the SportBusiness website, Parreira joins Danny Jordaan, chief executive of South Africa's 2010 World Cup organising committee, to outline and assess the host nation’s readiness both on and off the pitch. Ricardo Terra Teixeira, president of the Local Organising Committee for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, will also discuss preparations in Brazil, including infrastructure, security and stadia redevelopment.This year’s speak list also includes FIFA president Sepp Blatter, UEFA marketing and media rights director Philippe Le Floc’h and FIFA Executive Committee member Franz Beckenbauer.The Soccerex 2009 Global Convention takes place from November 28 to December 2 in Johannesburg.
