Johannesburg - Coach Carlos Alberto Parreira insists Bafana Bafana will help Benni McCarthy get into shape ahead of the World Cup.
South Africa's record top goalscorer has struggled to secure regular game time at Blackburn Rovers and has expressed his desire to quit the club.
However, boss Sam Allardyce revealed that he has received no offers for the former UEFA Champions League winner, who needs to be playing ahead of the global showpiece.
"If he doesn't find a team, we will try to get him fit during the Germany and Brazil camps coming up," Parreira said in response to McCarthy's situation.
"Benni's experience will be helpful, but only if he is in good shape. We must help him get fit when we go to the camps in Brazil and Germany.
"He is the best striker in the country; there is no doubt about that. We must help him."
Scottish side Celtic are reportedly interested in the hitman, along with his former club Porto and English outfits Portsmouth and West Ham.
