Erasmia - Germany striker Miroslav Klose says England's failure to play as a team and match its opponent's spirit were behind its 4-1 loss in the round of 16 match at the World Cup.

Klose scored to give Germany a 1-0 lead on Sunday and draw level with Pele on the all-time World Cup list with 12 goals.
He said Monday that Germany made its presence on the pitch in Bloemfontein felt from the first minute, whereas England "did not come out as a team."
Germany advanced to a quarterfinal against Argentina on Saturday in Cape Town.
