Johannesburg - Itumeleng Khune and Reneilwe Letsholonyane want to improve on their Soccer World Cup displays when they tackle Uruguay.
Goalkeeper Khune, who was sensational in Bafana Bafana's 1-1 draw with Mexico revealed he was both nervous and taken aback during the match in Soccer City, where around 85 000 people were cheering the national team on.
"I cannot describe how it was to play in the opening game, it is one of those moments you need to experience on a personal level to be able to understand what I felt during the game against Mexico," he told the Kaizer Chiefs official website.
"When you are a goalkeeper you understand what your responsibilities are and I needed to make the saves for the team.
"It is pleasing to me on a personal level because I was able to contribute in an important way to the team winning a point in the first game, not just me I feel the entire team played well against Mexico. Now there is Uruguay to look forward to and try and produce a better performance".
Letsholonyane was not at his sublime best against El Tri, but is looking forward to a better performance against Uruguay on Wednesday night.
"It was good to start against Mexico I think I okay, playing in the World Cup was always a wish of mine and to finally achieve that was great. I do feel that I can give more to the team in the next game," concluded 'Yeye'.
