Khoza 'too busy' for Pirates

2010-05-14 13:58

Johannesburg - Orlando Pirates chief Irvin Khoza has vowed to pay more attention to the club after the Soccer World Cup.

As chairperson of the event's Local Organising Committee, Khoza concedes he has not had time to give the Buccaneers, who finished fifth in the league, his full attention this season.

"The spiritual owners, the supporters are disappointed," he said at the Sea Robbers' awards ceremony on Wednesday.

"We expect to win the league every season.

"We understand success can never be guaranteed, but a club as big as Pirates must succeed in the league and cup competitions.

"I will be finishing my national duty on July 11 and I will concentrate fully on matters at Pirates," he concluded.
