Tignes - Arsenal defender William Gallas walked away unscathed after crashing during a buggy race at a World Cup training camp with the French national team Sunday.
Gallas, according to a journalist from AFP, crashed while negotiating a bend, forcing the buggy onto its side.
The race was immediately stopped and Gallas emerged shaking his left hand at teammates who were laughing after seeing the incident.
Team staff said Gallas "only suffered a scrape".
France will play in Group A with Uruguay, Mexico and hosts South Africa in the tournament which starts on June 11.
Gallas, who is recovering from a calf injury since March 31, is the reason why France coach Raymond Domenech named a provisional 24-man squad for the week-long alpine training camp in Tignes.
