Many of the 25,000 England fans in the Cape Town Stadium booed the players off the field after Friday's poor performance, which left the team in danger of being eliminated at the group stage.

The Football Association said they had complained that one fan managed to get through security and into the dressing room.

The FA said they would put the complaint to FIFA in writing.

Although Beckham is not fit to be in the squad, he has been traveling with the team.
