Johannesburg - Danny Jordaan, head organiser of the Soccer World Cup, says the tournament is in good financial shape even though FIFA had to kick in $100m.
Exactly a month before the start of the World Cup, Jordaan said on Tuesday that local organisers "have not gone on our knees (to FIFA) pleading for money."
Jordaan said organisers "have enough money to deliver the event."
FIFA secretary-general Jerome Valcke has said the sport's governing body gave South African organisers an extra $100m to ensure training facilities were up to scratch.
Jordaan said his committee has "more than 67 percent of the budget in tact and to be spent."
