Knysna - France captain Patrice Evra says there is "a traitor" among France's World Cup staff who must have leaked details of Nicolas Anelka's expletive-filled rant to a newspaper.
The Chelsea striker was thrown out of the France squad on Saturday, hours after sports daily L'Equipe reported that Anelka made obscene comments to Domenech at halftime of Thursday's 2-0 loss to Mexico.
The French football federation said Anelka had to go because he refused to apologize when asked to do so by the FFF's president Jean-Pierre Escalettes.
Evra says the leak "came from someone in this group, who wishes the French team harm" and that "the problem isn't Anelka, it's the traitor among us."
