Cape Town - Gauteng has run out of cheap Soccer World Cup tickets earmarked for South Africans, according to a Sowetan report. The tickets were priced at only R140. However, other venues like North West’s Royal Bafokeng in Rustenburg, Limpopo’s Peter Mokaba in Polokwane, Nelson Mandela Bay in Eastern Cape and Mbombela in Mpumalanga still had some by the close of business on Monday.Organisers have been forced to offer cheaper tickets to ensure all 10 World Cup stadiums - and not just those staging the most popular games - are full.
