Johannesburg - Clive Barker believes it is imperative that Bafana Bafana start finding the back of the net more regularly.
The South African national team face Swaziland and Zimbabwe in friendly matches in the coming week - games which they are expected to win easily.
However, the former Bafana mentor is worried by the current state of affairs in front of goal and insists that it needs to change as soon as possible.
Barker told the Business Day: "We are expected to win comfortably against them but the fact is we still have to put the ball in the back of the net.
"We are using this as a training match but obviously it means a lot more to them.
"They have a lot at stake and would consider it a huge achievement if they are able to trouble the hosts of the next World Cup away from home."
