Bafana move up in the world

Cape Town - Bafana Bafana have climbed to the 66th position in the latest FIFA world rankings released on Wednesday despite being the first hosts to exit in the first round of the Soccer World Cup.

Bafana were ranked 83rd prior to the tournament.

They are also now ranked 12th in Africa.

World Cup winners Spain have replaced Brazil as the top-ranked side, with beaten finalists, Holland, moving into second place.
