Ronaldo's WC future in doubt

Cape Town - Questions have once again been raised about whether Cristiano Ronaldo will be fit to continue in the World Cup.

The Real Madrid superstar limped off the training pitch on Wednesday with a bag of ice strapped to his troublesome left knee.

Ronaldo has been plagued by knee and thigh injuries since the latter stages of the domestic season and missed two of Portugal’s World Cup warm-up matches as a result.

Portugal, who lost to Germany in their opening group game, next face the USA on Sunday.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
