Parreira's moles on the beat

Johannesburg - Carlos Alberto Parreira reveals that he has sent scouts to all three countries in the same group as Bafana Bafana in the Soccer World Cup.

Bafana will face Mexico, Uruguay and France during the soccer showpiece, and Parreira has members of the national team gathering information already.

The Mexicans will be Bafana's opening game at Soccer City on June 11 followed by Uruguay on June 16 at Loftus Versveld stadium and France at the Free State Stadium on June 22.

"We have a lot of people sent out to inform us how their (opposing teams) preparations are going for the World Cup," said Parreira.

"We are more focused on Mexico as that is our first game and we are aware that they have lined-up tough oppositions in their upcoming friendly internationals and some of them will be played in South Africa."

"EL Tri", as Mexico are known, have booked a barrage of tough friendlies against seeded World Cup giants. Their calendar in May includes games against Argentina, England and Holland, and a final warm-up against Italy on June 3. Parreira said the technical team would use these games to see how they will strategize against the Javier Aguirre-led team.

"We have our own friendly games to play and we will not change much and that is how we will be strong and find our identity," said Parreira.

Bafana will play Thailand on Sunday, Bulgaria on May 24 and Columbia on May 27. A last minute warm-up game against Diego Maradona's Argentina is still being pursued, according to the Brazilian.

Parreira is obliged to name his final 23-man squad by June 1.
