Johannesburg – An African village will be set up in Kensington, Johannesburg during the Soccer World Cup tournament, organisers said on Tuesday.
"Visitors in Johannesburg will be treated to the taste and sounds of the Ivory Coast, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Nigeria and other African countries as part of an African Village," said organiser Aboubakar Sidiki in a statement.
Ivory Coast musician Alpha Blondy was also scheduled to perform at the village on June 9.
