Cape Town - A rescue helicopter airlifted an English tourist off Table Mountain after he collapsed with a heart complaint, Cape Town emergency services said on Friday.
The tourist was apparently visiting South Africa for the World Cup
A helicopter retrieved him at around 15:00 on Thursday from the mountain's main tourist trail and took him to hospital.
This comes five days after a 14-year-old American plunged to his death at the top tourist attraction.
Head of Cape Town emergency services, Cleeve Robertson, urged tourists to take extra precautions on the mountain.
"They go up the cable way, they look down at the city and they think 'well that's easy... I can walk down there'. It's definitely not easy and certainly in winter, it's wet and slippery."
