Port Elizabeth - Despite a smallish crowd at St George's Fan Fest in Port Elizabeth on Saturday, World Cup fever was still tangible.

Half an hour before kick-off, there was a much smaller crowd at the fan park than during Friday's opening match between Bafana Bafana and Mexico.

The first game of the day, between Greece and South Korea, is also the first in Port Elizabeth's 48 000 seater stadium.

Vuvuzelas were evident, but considerably less than on Friday night.

At the start, Greece supporters outnumbered the South Korean fans in the park.

Earlier supporters were entertained by rap artists on stage before the official World Cup mascot Zakumi took to the stage for a diski dance demonstration.

Some in the audience showed their own skills of the dance.

By kick-off a steady stream of fans were still making their way into the park.
