Johannesburg - Specially-designated courts have dealt with 142 World Cup-related cases since May 28, the National Prosecuting Authority said on Monday.
In 64 of these the perpetrators were found guilty compared to only two cases in which they were found not guilty, NPA spokesperson Mthunzi Mhaga said in a statement.
Thirty-one cases were withdrawn for lack of evidence, while 22 are pending further investigations.
Trials are pending for 16 of the cases and five have been partly heard.
Two warrants of arrest have been issued.
"This is all due to excellent work done by police and the prosecutors throughout the country," said Mhaga.
The South Gauteng High Court has dealt with the most cases, 44, compared with the Western Cape's 41. Limpopo has only dealt with one.
