Cup threatens ritual

Polokwane - The number of boys attending traditional initiation schools in Limpopo is down nearly 75% because they are staying at home to watch the World Cup instead.

Circumcision schools have banned television sets saying they are a threat to traditional rituals, leading to the number of registered schools dropping to 62 compared to 232 last year, the Citizen newspaper reported on Tuesday.
