Cops pleased with traffic

Johannesburg - The metro police were pleased with the traffic flow on Friday evening as thousands of soccer fans made their way home from Soccer City and the various fan parks.

"Its going well, we have not had any problems," said spokesperson Wayne Minnaar.

He said all the fans had left Soccer City and fans were still leaving on the park and ride buses.

A steady stream of traffic greeted fans as they left the venue, but it has since returned to normal.

The Sandton area was congested earlier and metro police said they were forced to open up the left lane along Grayston Drive, easing the traffic flow.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
