There is no way on earth Bafana Bafana should be paraded around the city on open top buses waving to crowds. We have won nothing yet!
Carlos is 100% correct and he is livid. The focus two days ahead of the opening game should be on soccer where Bafana should be together in their training camp working on beating Mexico.
All the other sides have been kept as far from the press as possible. Not Bafana – just about every player has broadcast far and wide on how we are going to beat Mexico. This is bad karma!
First step is to beat Mexico. The second step is to qualify for the playoffs and if we can make it to the semis anything can happen. Till then keep our boys as far away from all the hype.
Many sides in all types of sport have crashed and burned because they have got involved in the pre-match/tournament hype.
Give our boys a chance and keep them focused on why they are there.
