Belgium are involved in only their second World Cup quarter-final game having defeated Spain on penalties in their previous one back in Mexico in 1986. They went through to lose to a Diego Maradona-inspired Argentina in the semi-finals that year. Argentina are eyeing a first last-eight success since defeating England in that same tournament 28 years ago. They have lost to the Netherlands in 1998 and to Germany in 2006 and 2010 respectively in their three previous quarter-final outings. However they have won three out of their four previous meetings against the Belgians. In this tournament both sides remain undefeated but neither have not won by more than one goal so expect a close affair in Brasilia.
