Dutch sweating over Vlaar

Cape Town - The Netherlands may have to make do without defender Ron Vlaar for their World Cup semi-final against Argentina.

The 29-year-old, who has played in all of his side's matches at the showpiece event in Brazil, is struggling with a knee injury and may not recover in time to face Argentina.

Should the Aston Villa skipper be ruled out, Daryl Janmaat could come into the starting XI to replace him, with Stefan de Vrij moving into the centre of defence and Janmaat slotting in at right-back.
