David Luiz signs with PSG

Paris - Paris Saint-Germain has completed the transfer of David Luiz from Chelsea, with the Brazil international signing a five-year deal with the French champions.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed but it will reportedly make Luiz the world's most expensive defender.

Chelsea and PSG both announced the deal last month but the move could not be completed until the start of the transfer window on June 10.

British media reported that the transfer fee would reach between 40 million pounds and 50 million pounds, which would be a record for a defender.

PSG paid a reported 42 million euros in 2012 for Thiago Silva, who is now expected to play for the club with his Brazil team-mate in central defence.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
