Cape town - Costa Rica are confident that goalkeeper Keylor Navas will be
fit to face the Netherlands on Saturday, despite being troubled by a
shoulder injury.
Navas did not train on Wednesday ahead of the quarter-final fixture this weekend, but word from the Costa Rica camp is positive.
"We have to be careful and keep an eye on it," said team doctor Erick Sanchez.
"We chose to be careful with him and let him rest so he can play on Saturday."
Navas pulled off a sensational save to keep out Theofanis Gekas’ penalty in Costa Rica’s round of 16 victory over Greece, an effort which provided Michael Umana with the opportunity to win the tie, which he duly did.
