Johannesburg - Bafana Bafana were dealt a blow ahead of the World Cup as midfielder Teko Modise picked up a wrist injury during their friendly with Jamaica on Wednesday night.

The Orlando Pirates player came off second best when he collided with one of the Jamaicans in a game that South Africa won 2-0.

The seriousness of the injury is not yet known but Modise revealed that he may have sustained a fracture.

He left the Offenbach Kickers Stadium with his hand heavily bandaged and told journalists after the game: "I think I have a fracture but it still needs to be checked. It is very sore."

Carlos Alberto Parreira's team have completed their German training camp and will head back to the country before reassembling on Tuesday.
