Maritzburg United goalkeeper Shu-Aib Walters has revealed that everything is going according to plan in Germany with Bafana Bafana.
The 28-year-old is currently in Europe with Carlos Alberto Parreira and the boys on a training camp in preparation for the World Cup.
Walters was a late call-up following the injury to Emille Baron, but insists that objectives are being met and that it is good to be away from the spotlight in Mzansi.
The Bloemfontein Celtic loanee told United's website: "The camp is going great; obviously our main objectives are to get physically and mentally ready for the World Cup.
"The camps are good because we are away from all the hype in the country and we can just concentrate on football which is good for the players.
"The mood in the camp is good and everyone is giving their all to be in the final squad for the Cup.
"For me personally, it is an achievement getting called up to be part of these two camps, (Brazil and Germany) but my ultimate goal is to be in the World Cup squad," he added.
"I believe that my personal form was good at the right time and I have played my best PSL games since joining Maritzburg United.
"A lot of credit must go to the head coach, Ernst Middendorp, who has given me the responsibility of being a leader in the team and having to set an example to the younger players and the goalkeeper coach Pernell Mckop who has assisted me in the technical part of my game.
"I would like to thank the supporters of the Team of Choice for coming out in numbers and getting behind the team, and I believe that this side has the quality next season to challenge for some honours.
"To the supporters of Bafana Bafana - We are working really hard in the Camps in Germany and will always give our best in the games ahead."
