The Red Devils arrived on South African shores on Monday ahead of their pre-season tour, starting with the midweek clash against Usuthu in Durban followed by a tie in the Mother City against Ajax Cape Town three days later.
Dlamini, who only three years ago was plying his trade in the country's fourth division, admits the Durban club feel "privileged" to be able to contest a match with one of the world's biggest footballing entities.
"We're all very excited, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the AmaZulu players, we're privileged to be able to play against one of the greatest sides in the world," he told the PSL's official website.
"Just a few years ago I was playing in the SAB League (the Castle Third Division) and now I find myself with the chance to play against Man United, its amazing, I never dreamt this day would come."
An extra would-be feather in Dlamini's cap is the fact he grew up supporting Sir Alex Ferguson's men, and that he will get to face Michael Carrick, one of his current idols.
"Since a boy I have supported Manchester United. All my friends and family know this and so they're very excited for me, they'll be at the stadium to watch," he added.
"My favourite player when I was growing up was Ruud van Nistellroy. From the current squad, it's Wayne Rooney who is my favourite. I also enjoy watching Michael Carrick, his composure and passing.
"I'm also looking forward to hopefully playing against Rio Ferdinand, to play against an experienced international defender like that will be a wonderful test and opportunity for me."
