London - Manchester United won the English League Cup on penalties against Tottenham Hotspur after the Wembley showpiece had ended 0-0 after extra time on Sunday.

Anderson struck the winning penalty for United after Jamie O'Hara and Darren Bentley had both missed for holders Spurs.
