Johannesburg - Mamelodi Sundowns will face a far sterner test in the last 16 of the Nedbank Cup after they were drawn against Wits on Monday.
Downs are fresh off a record 24-0 demolishing of amateur side Powerlines FC in the first round of the competition.
Stanley Mathews, the Premier Soccer League chief executive, said the organisers expected quality football in the second round.
“We have a record 13 Premiership teams in the last 16,” Mathews said.
“We've had five hat-tricks in the competition and are looking forward to many more.”
In other all-Premiership clashes, Golden Arrows will be at home to Maritzburg United and Orlando Pirates host Free State Stars.
League strugglers Black Leopards face a tough test as they host giants Kaizer Chiefs.
Third-tier outfit Roses United will play Santos and United FC will be at home against SuperSport United, while Platinum Stars travel to Jomo Cosmos.
The final fixture will be decided on Tuesday when AmaZulu replay their abandoned last 32 match against Ajax Cape Town in Durban.
The winner of that game will face Witbank Spurs in the second round.
The dates and venues of the last 16 fixtures will be decided later in the week.
