Spain slam FIFA over Messi win

Madrid - The Spanish media has lashed out at FIFA president Sepp Blatter after Lionel Messi won the Ballon d'Or ahead of Barcelona team-mates Andres Iniesta and Xavi Hernandez, who played for Spain when they won the Soccer World Cup.

Marca says "without a doubt the biggest loser on this night was Spanish football."

Six Spanish players were included in FIFA's 2010 world all-star team.
