Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs head coach Steve Komphela believes the club can win the Nedbank Cup if his players have faith in a higher power that their goal is achievable.
The Glamour Boys reached the quarter-finals with a 2-1 victory over Stellenbosch FC at the weekend with both Eric Mathoho and Leonardo Castro on target.
Meanwhile, Alan Robertson pulled back a goal for the Cape Town team.
Komphela played down his side's chances as he takes the view that it is Amakhosi's duty to mount a challenge for a trophy, and winning the competition is possible.
"I'm not going to think too aggressively. I'll just appreciate the fact that we went through this match," he said.
"It's part of our responsibility and obligation to try to get to the semifinals, final and where possible, God willing, you win it.
"Honestly speaking, I'm not going to put myself under so much mental pressure. So we are relaxed and taking it one step at a time. We are at work here."
The draw for the quarter-finals of the lucrative tournament takes place on Thursday.
The overall winner of the competition gets set to collect a handsome R6 million in prize money.
