Mbombela to host TKO final

Cape Town - The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has confirmed the 2013 Telkom Knockout (TKO) final will be played at the Mbombela Stadium for the first time.

The PSL also announced that the final will be played on Saturday, December 7.

PSL CEO, Brand de Villiers said: “After considering a number of venues, we agreed that Mbombela Stadium will be a suitable venue to host the Telkom Knockout final.”

On the date for the final, De Villiers said: “It is important for the League to afford our sponsors, Telkom enough time to prepare and activate a number of their plans for the TKO final so I believe the two weeks between the semi-finals and the final will do justice to all parties involved.

The PSL and Telkom will do everything to ensure that we put together a memorable event on December 7.”

Telkom’s Nakedi Chiloane added: “We are thankful to the PSL for the consideration and agree with the fair regional distribution of finals. We are excited to take this years’ edition to Mpumalanga. So far, we are extremely happy with this year’s edition and look forward to an exciting Final.”

The PSL will release a revised league block fixture for matches initially scheduled for the weekend of the final.
