Al Ahly after De Sa

Johannesburg - According to reports in Egyptian media, Al Ahly are in negotiations with Ajax Cape Town’s coach Roger De Sa to take over as coach next season.

The Soccer-Laduma website reported, De Sa made a good impression on the current African champions when he lead Orlando Pirates to the Champions League final in 2013, before losing to Al Ahly.

With Mohammed Youssef set to leave his coaching post at the end of the season, De Sa has become the club’s no one target, and a report on sport.ahram.org say the club has already begun negotiations with him.

Al Ahly have already been knocked out of this year Champion’s League competition, losing in the second round to Al Ahli Benghazi of Libya.

De Sa only joined Ajax at the end of February, and whether or not he is tempted to join the Egyptian giants remains to be seen.
