Shadreck Biemba passes away

Johannesburg - Former Zambia and AmaZulu goalkeeper, Shadreck Biemba, passed away on Saturday morning after a bravely fought battle with cancer.

Biembia had been serving as Moroka Swallows goalkeeper coach since the 2006/07 season.

In a statement by Swallows on their website, the club extended its sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Biemba.

The club further mentioned that Biemba did a sterling job with the goalkeepers. Emphasizing that the goalkeeping department the most important departments in any team as there can be no place for complacency and no room for error.

But the highly skilled former Zambian national team goalkeeper came out tops.

"Through his work and dedication any of the Birds' goalkeepers are worthy of a place in the goal." Swallows said.

"Shadreck was a highly valued member of the Swallows team, who always had a smile and a friendly word for everyone. He will be greatly missed" concluded the statement.
