SAFA wish CAF clubs well

Johannesburg - SAFA have issued a message of goodwill to both Black Leopards and Orlando Pirates ahead of their CAF ties this weekend.

The Buccaneers face Recreativo de Libolo of Angola in the Champions League on Sunday at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium while Lidoda Duvha take on Motor Action of Zimbabwe in the Confederations Cup at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Saturday.

SAFA President, Kirsten Nematandani said: "While this will be a maiden journey for Leopards, we are confident they have the hunger, desire and spirit to do well against some of the best clubs on the continent.

"This is familiar territory for Pirates. The 2010-2011 PSL champions have assembled one of the best sides ever and we are positive they can emulate the 1995 feat in which they went all the way to conquer Africa.

"We wish the two teams well, and hope they will do the country proud. Go out there and fly the South African flag high."
