SAFA mourns death of kit boss

Johannesburg - The South African Football Association (SAFA) sent out a message of condolence at the news of the untimely death of the national Under-23 team kit manager Linda Zwane.

Zwane died in a car accident on Monday, a day after Amaglug-glug's 5-1 win over Benin in a 2012 Olympic qualifier match.

"On behalf of the President of SAFA Kirsten Nematandani, the National Executive Committee of SAFA and the entire Association, we would like offer our heartfelt sympathies for the unexpected death of Linda," said SAFA chief executive Pinky Lehoko in a statement.

"He was a dedicated staffer and we will miss him. We pray that his family find enough strength and courage to go on during this period of sorrow.

"We also hope that those who worked with him are comforted." Funeral arrangements are yet to be finalised.
