SAFA, Puma deal imminent

Johannesburg - The South African Football Association top brass are in the process of concluding a sponsorship deal with Puma shortly according to Soccer-Laduma sources.

The deal, which has been pending for some time, is expected to be sealed in Johannesburg on Friday.

Sources have confirmed that the contract between the two parties should be for five years. Since the deal with rival German manufacturing brand Adidas came to an end in December, SAFA  have been in talks with Puma.

After months of negotiations, it seems they've finally reached an agreement and the two parties are trying to tie up loose ends. The deal will be signed on Friday and an announcement is expected soon.

Efforts to get a comment from SAFA deputy president Danny Jordaan or CEO Pinky Lehoko drew blanks as their phones ran unanswered.
