Cape Town - Former Bafana Bafana captain Aaron Mokoena is still waiting to be paid his wages for the first month of 2012 by English Championship side Portsmouth after the company that owns the club went into administration.
According to a report in The New Age new owners are desperately needed to save them and Mokoena admits that it is one of the toughest moments of his long career.
“We don’t really know what’s happening or what is going to happen,” he said.
“Everyone at the club is obviously worried because it is a very serious problem when people aren’t being paid. But all we can do is try to do our best on the pitch.”
“We need a solid investor in the club, a person who will come and make sure that the passionate supporters get what they deserve, the players get what they deserve,” he said.
“We love the club, but we need a bit of a boost.”
