Pitso, SAFA locked in talks

2012-07-26 10:45

Cape Town -  The lawyers for Pitso Mosimane and the SA Football Association (SAFA) are locked in negotiations after the coach took the governing body to the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA) over his dismissal from the Bafana Bafana coaching job, The Times reported on Thursday.

Mosimane was sacked as coach of the national team after a spate of disappointing results by Bafana. The final nail on his coaching coffin was a 1-1 draw at home with Ethiopia in a 2014 Soccer World Cup qualifier match early last month.

Mosimane was replaced by Gordon Igesund as Bafana Bafana head coach.

He has managed to make SAFA his cash cow. Inflated salary for the past 2 years and a golden hand shake... And what did he achieve in return for that???????

  • Lunga - 2012-07-26 12:13

Safa stuffed up. There should have been a performance clause in his contract. Every manager and coach (except for Jomo Sono) has a performance clause.\r\n\r\nPitso had a 4 year contract. By not paying him out his entire amount, Safa asked for trouble.\r\n\r\nAccording to the contract he had, there were no grounds to sack him. He is taking advantage of Safa's stupidity.

Based on his performance he should be grateful that they didn't charge him for treason.

what a dissapointing coach, he will always be known as a big mouth failure and SAFA must just give him pension money like they always do and lets hope gordon will make us proud this team im ready for brazil.

Sport Minister must intervene and probe SAFA's poor handling in appointing Pitso without peformance clause on the contract.

C'mon man, so this guy wanted to coach us to failure until when? I wonder what he says to himself in the mirror. Does this guys family gas him up enough to do this with his head held high? So he lost a few, draw most and had one of the worst win records. Im saving for Brozil, and he wants the whole country to watch it in our living rooms. You will always be considered a sore LOSER my man. And who gave you the job in the first places, a couple of cup wins and never the league make you average. SAFA has failed us one too many times, and your just another by product...
