Pirates downed in CL opener

Port Elizabeth - Orlando Pirates were beaten 3-1 by Recreativo do Libolo of Angola, in their African Champions League opener at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Sunday.

The goals for the visitors were scored by Maieco Domingos Henrique, scoring in both the 12th and 16th minute to make it to 2-0 to Recreativo do Libolo.

Henri Camara scored just after the hour mark as he made 3-0.

Rooi Mahamutsa scored a consolation goal for the Buccaneers deep into injury time, to salvage some pride for the South African premiership champions.

Recreativo do Libolo: Maieco Domingos Henrique (12th, 16th), Henri Camara (62nd).
