ZESCO expects 'total war' in CAF final

Cape Town - ZESCO United coach George Lwandamina says that Mamelodi Sundowns will have to prepare for the game of their lives if they are to clinch the CAF Champions League.

The South African outfit booked their spot in the final of the continental tournament against Zamalek, following a 3-2 aggregate victory against the reigning Zambian champions, and the ZESCO mentor has shared some words of advice for Pitso Mosimane's men.

"You don't win outside the field of play. They have to do their home work right," he told KickOff website.

"Its not going to be an easy game. I know they beat Zamalek before but at this level there are lot of motivational factors, it wont be any easy game and they have to do their home work."

"They play Zamalek, they want to win by all costs. It will be total war, you can be rest assured of that," he concluded.

The reigning Premiership champions face the Egyptian giants at home in the first leg of the final on 15 October, before travelling to Cairo to play the second-leg tie on 21 October.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
