We don't fear Downs' big names, says Isaacs

Cape Town - Ajax Cape Town forward Erwin Isaacs believes that the Urban Warriors have nothing to be scared about when they face Mamelodi Sundowns in Wednesday's Premiership clash.

LIVE scoring and interactive commentary on the Absa Premiership clash between Ajax Cape Town and Mamelodi Sundowns.

The Urban Warriors have had a difficult start to the season which led to the departure of head coach Roger de Sa. However, his successor, Stanley Menzo, recently helped the club to their first win of the 2016/17 campaign, against Platinum Stars.

With that said, Sundowns have scored 12 goals in their last five outings and will no doubt be confident of victory. Yet, Isaacs feels no reservations about facing the African champions when the Brazilians visit the Mother City.

He told the club's official website: "One can clearly see the improvements in the team, on and off the field. Things are looking up for us and we would like to end the year on a positive note.

"We are aware that we are playing the African champions and it's not going to be easy. But we don't fear Sundowns with their big-name players. We have shown in the past that we can give them a run for their money."

Despite the player's claims, Downs have won four out of the last five matches between the two teams.

The action kicks off Wednesday night at 19:30.
